Last Call for BFF Day!
Well, July has certainly turned up the heat! Every evening when we leave the car is somewhere around 100 degrees - YUCK! I hope you are all staying inside and sewing away in nice cool air.
If you have been thinking about signing up for BFF Day - now is the time! We need a few more seats filled in order for this event to take place. It is only 2 weeks away - Saturday, July 23rd from 10am-4pm. We have a couple of make & takes - one to give and one to keep! You will need a neutral thread, your sewing machine, and basic sewing supplies (small iron & portable ironing table too if you have one). Also, please bring (or purchase) a fat quarter for a fun game we will play! Cost is $25 and lunch is included. Deadline to sign up is next Friday, July 15th - don't miss out!
Upcoming Events
Florida Shop Hops Lighthouses and Bridges Shop Hop starts next Saturday, July 16 and runs through Saturday, August 20th. Registration is free online and the Souvenir Books arrived yesterday. The book is $10 and gives you 6 free patterns with a listing of all the shops in the hop plus coupons for some of the participating shops.
Educational Opportunities
Night Stitchers is filling up quickly for next Friday, July 16th. Michele brings the main dish and everyone brings a dish to share for a pot luck and sewing into the night. Sign up today!
Nancy's teaching the Fireworks Quilt hanging in the back classroom. We still have some Fat Quarter bundles of the Lecien Flower Sugar which is similar to the fabrics Nancy used in her quilt sample.
Sunday, July 24th we have 2 classes on the calendar - Susan's Mug Rug Mania and Gloria's Snowman Placemats. Check them out!
Donna Lawrence is having a Sew Day with Donna on Saturday, July 30th. This is your chance for all of you who work and cannot take Donna's classes during the week. Any class Donna has taught, she is willing to teach to you on this Saturday. Limit 4 different classes.
Preview Party is next Saturday, July 16th at 9am. Doors will open at 8:30am to our classroom. We will have all the class samples and teachers available for questions. Stop by and check it out!
Just a friendly reminder to sign up at least a week in advance of class. We want to be able to give at least 5 days notice for teachers and students to plan accordingly. If you register and the class does not make, we will provide a full refund. You can view the class handout PDF or check out all the new classes through July here.
