Join in on all the fun at the monthly meeting of the American Sewing Guild here at Cinnamon's Quilt Shoppe. This neighborhood group is primarily focused on garment sewing, but all sewists are welcome to attend. The monthly meeting includes a brief calendar of upcoming events, a monthly program presented by a guild member, show & tell time, and social time. Join Cheryl as you learn to master the embroidery side of your new BERNINA Embroidery machine. You will learn everything you need to embroider with your machine successfully, including setting up your machine for embroidery, customizing machine settings, navigating embroidery screens, adding lettering, editing designs, placing designs, changing thread colors and more.

Join Cheryl in learning to master your new BERNINA L860 or L890 Serger. Learn to care for your machine and how to use specialty functions to customize your machine settings to your needs. You will learn to use the 4, 3, and 2 thread stitch formations and how to navigate the machine's online tutorials.

Join Cheryl in learning to master the sewing side of your new BERNINA machine. Learn to care for your machine and how to use specialty functions to customize machine settings to your needs. You will learn to use the most important utility stitches on your machine, such as straight stitches, overlock stitches, long stitches, blind hem, and buttonholes. ? ? You will also learn about the many creative options of your machine, including decorative stitches, combi-mode, free-motion stitching, and more.

So you want to make a quilt, but not sure where to start? We will use the book, Start Quilting by Alex Anderson and make the Rail Fence quilt. You will learn to cut fabrics with the rotary cutter and mat, sew a quarter-inch seam, and piece the fabrics together. You will then quilt the finished top with the batting and backing and bind the quilt so you have a completed quilt at the end of the 3 sessions.

Have you completed Embroidery Mastery class, but still feel overwhelmed? Come join Cheryl for some Embroidery Practice. We will briefly review general embroidery mastery topics, learn about the types of embroidery, and then jump into some small projects to get you stitching in no time! We will talk about the why's behind the embroidery techniques so you can have success at home.

Join Cheryl in making the Liesl + Co Fira Top or Dress pattern. With no zippers or buttons, this pull-on pattern is beginner-friendly. You'll learn some simple gathering, how to install a yoke, and how to do side darts. Needing more of a challenge? Choose a border print fabric and add mini-piping around the yoke.

Are you looking for a new project but don't want to dive into another quilt? Look no further! Beginning March 5, Janice will have a little Table Talk and walk you through 5 great patterns in the book, Table-tastic! 2 (book is required, but not included in monthly fee). You will make a total of 5 table runners or toppers during the 10-month period. Kits will include all materials (excluding batting), including backing AND binding and will be distributed every other month. You may come to class each month for no additional fee.

Quilt Olympics 2024 at Cinnamon's Quilt Shoppe! Opening Ceremonies: Sunday, July 21st at 1pm Reserve your seat - Free to attend! Join us for Olympic events and a charity sew to make kid-size quilts for our local police officers to give to children in crisis situations. Don't miss out on the fun and the chance to give back! Let's have some fun with our fabric!!! Join Janet for some fun Bingo games with fabric! Here's how it goes-everyone pays their registration fee of $10 each. Two weeks before the games begin, stop by the shop and pick up your Bingo squares. These will be all kinds of 2 1/2" squares. You will sew them into five rows of five blocks-just like a Bingo board. Then, show up to play! Yes, there will be prizes and snacks! You will see some new fabrics and old fabrics! When we are finished, you have a great start on a fun scrappy quilt! We will even give ideas for finishing blocks as the year goes on! Want to play an additional board? Just add the add-on fee of $5 and you can double your chances of winning! Don't forget to bring coins, buttons or what-nots to use as your square covers!

Come join us and make some stars for Christmas! These cute and festive decorations can be made as ornaments to decorate your tree, decorate your house, or simply be given as gifts. Choose non Christmas fabrics and use them to decorate for birthdays or other occasions. In this class we will be making the medium six pointed star but there are also instructions included in the pattern to make an eight pointed star.

Learn the basics of quilting your projects on your home machine with Robyn! She will take you through the basics of layering, basting and stitching! Even those of you who like to send your quilts "out" for quilting will love learning these basic techniques so you can quilt your own smaller projects!

Embark on a creative adventure at our Kids' Sewing Camp! Running from June 17th to 21st, Monday through Friday, 10:30 am to 2:00 pm, this camp is the perfect summer activity for young sewing enthusiasts. Designed specifically for children who have completed 1st through 5th grade, our camp offers a fun, hands-on learning experience in the world of sewing. Each day of the camp, your child will dive into a new project, allowing them to explore their creativity and develop their sewing skills further. From designing their own unique fabric creations to mastering the art of sewing, this camp is an excellent opportunity for young crafters to bring their imaginative ideas to life. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, we require that all participants have a basic understanding of how to thread their sewing machine and make bobbins. This pre-requisite allows us to focus on advancing their skills and working on exciting projects right from the start. Our Kids' Sewing Camp is not just about learning how to sew; it's about building confidence, enhancing creativity, and making new friends who share the same passion. By the end of the week, each camper will have a collection of handmade items to take home, showcasing their hard work and creativity.
