Join in on all the fun at the monthly meeting of the American Sewing Guild here at Cinnamon's Quilt Shoppe. This neighborhood group is primarily focused on garment sewing, but all sewists are welcome to attend. The monthly meeting includes a brief calendar of upcoming events, a monthly program presented by a guild member, show & tell time, and social time. Join Cheryl as you learn to master the embroidery side of your new BERNINA Embroidery machine. You will learn everything you need to embroider with your machine successfully, including setting up your machine for embroidery, customizing machine settings, navigating embroidery screens, adding lettering, editing designs, placing designs, changing thread colors and more.

Join Cheryl in learning to master your new BERNINA L860 or L890 Serger. Learn to care for your machine and how to use specialty functions to customize your machine settings to your needs. You will learn to use the 4, 3, and 2 thread stitch formations and how to navigate the machine's online tutorials.

Join Cheryl in learning to master the sewing side of your new BERNINA machine. Learn to care for your machine and how to use specialty functions to customize machine settings to your needs. You will learn to use the most important utility stitches on your machine, such as straight stitches, overlock stitches, long stitches, blind hem, and buttonholes. ? ? You will also learn about the many creative options of your machine, including decorative stitches, combi-mode, free-motion stitching, and more.

So you want to make a quilt, but not sure where to start? We will use the book, Start Quilting by Alex Anderson and make the Rail Fence quilt. You will learn to cut fabrics with the rotary cutter and mat, sew a quarter-inch seam, and piece the fabrics together. You will then quilt the finished top with the batting and backing and bind the quilt so you have a completed quilt at the end of the 3 sessions.

Let's continue our quilting journey by tackling the "Friendship Star Quilt" in Alex Anderson's book, 'Start Quilting'. If you took the Beginning Quilting class, we will be using the same book. We will work on accurate rotary cutting, perfecting your 1/4" seams, reviewing techniques learned in class #1, quilting, and binding your quilt.

This simple charm quilt is so easy to make and you will love the perfect "throw" size. Janet is getting her holiday spirit on early because you can never have too many Christmas quilts! You can make this Christmas-y or just about any colorway and you will love it! Just add some background to three charm packs and you are ready to get sewing!

Come join our newest instructor, Leigh Rollins to make a belt bag that is perfect for everyday use. The Haralson Bag by Noodlehead is compact and easy to wear across of the front or back of the body. This is a great bag for travel and security. Lee has made multiple variations of this bag and has lots of knowledge that she is prepared to share with you.

Come learn how to use your embroidery machine to quilt your projects in the hoop and have them look like they were quilted by a long-arm machine, using the Amelie Scott Designs method. You will need your sewing machine and embroidery unit.

Are you looking for a new project but don't want to dive into another quilt? Look no further! Beginning March 5, Janice will have a little Table Talk and walk you through 5 great patterns in the book, Table-tastic! 2 (book is required, but not included in monthly fee). You will make a total of 5 table runners or toppers during the 10-month period. Kits will include all materials (excluding batting), including backing AND binding and will be distributed every other month. You may come to class each month for no additional fee.

Civil War Sampler begins February of 2024! Full of stories and symbolism from the mid 1800's, this Barbara Brackman quilt offers a beautiful on-point (or not) setting for this traditional quilt.

Get your "Bag Girl" on with a fun ByAnnie bag! The Call Me bag is number THREE in our Bag Basics Series. Have you ever wanted to make a ByAnnie bag, but thought the patterns were too complicated? Would you like hands on instruction to answer any questions that might arise when making these patterns? Join Janet in this fun class! Pre-requisites to this class are: Petit Four and Piecekeeper. A class kit is available at Cinnamon's Quilt Shoppe and should be purchased and picked up BEFORE class so you can get everything ironed, starched and cut to be ready for class! To finish your project in class, please make sure to have all fabric, soft and stable and interfacing pieces cut and labeled before class begins.

This adorable Halloween treat bag will look great as you give out your treats, a child collects treat OR it would be an awesome addition to your fall/Halloween decor with stems and picks to celebrate the season! However you use it, you will have great fun making it!

This quilt is aptly named-Rejoice! It is beautiful and you can be sure you will "rejoice" when you add it to your decor or share it with a friend or family member! Janet made the large lap size quilt but the small quilt would be a great size for a new baby or wheelchair cover. It only takes some background plus a jelly roll, layer cake or some charm packs! Couldn't be easier to get started!

This beauty has the most interesting sashing and cornerstones! Combine them with your favorite fat quarters and you will have a winner! This quilt may look challenging with it's pieced sashings and quarter-square triangles but Janet is ready to share all the tips and tricks to help you complete this one with ease! Janet used bright fall colors but you can use Christmas fabrics, Halloween fabrics, Spring fabrics and more! Just choose something you love and it will be wonderful!

Are you are beginning quilt maker? THIS is your class! Janet will walk you through fabric preparation, cutting, block making, and sewing rows! Register early and make sure to choose your fat quarters BEFORE class day! This is a beginning quilt but you will want to have taken the beginning rotary cutting class and 1/4" seam class before you start your quilting journey! You can choose to do a baby or lap size quilt in this class. A Stripology XL ruler will make this class so easy!

Do words like hue, value, tone, tint and saturation confuse you when you hear others talking about quilts? Have you ever made a block or quilt top and thought something seemed "off," but didn't know how to fix it? In this class we'll go over the basics of color theory and then follow it up with exercises to help train your eye on how to see color. You'll then be able to apply what you have learned to your own stash and you just might see it in a whole new light!

Once you have taken Stripology 101 you think you know all the Stripology ruler will do? Wrong! We've got more skills to show you! Join Janet for a fun class learning how to make that ruler investment really pay off! We will make bias binding, cut half hexies, learn about making our own precuts, learn how to make half square triangles, quarter square triangles, and more!

This single repeat block quilt is a great way to use up scraps, leftover fabric, or fat quarters. Make it as big or small as you want! You can use paper piecing or templates to construct your blocks and we'll show both techniques in class. It's a fun way to use up your stash!

We're planning some fun for the days and nights before the BIG SPOOK! Join Janet and Robyn for a fun from THURSDAY to SATURDAY this time! There will be Halloween treats but we will play no tricks (we will leave that to your machine!) We will begin on THURSDAY at Noon and sew until 9pm and start the fun again on FRIDAY from 9am-9pm and then finish on SATURDAY from 9am to 3pm. We will provide dinner on Thursday night, and lunch and dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday. Please note: this retreat will open for registration following Class Preview on Sunday, July 21st at 2pm
