Cinnamon's Quilt Shoppe Classes

Dive headfirst into the fun and limitless world of bag making with this intro class! Bag sewing has gone viral for a reason-you won't believe how much fun it is until you try it! Jenny will be teaching her own beginner bag pattern, the Prism Pouch. In this class you can choose to make either the large or small-the construction is the same for both, so you can complete the set at home! The class will cover many foundation skills of bag sewing, including how to cut for bags, install a zipper, make boxed corners, and a basic guide to interfacing. A copy of the pattern is included in the class!

You can start with a layer cake, four charm packs or even use scraps and cut your own charms in your own color way! Register early and make sure to choose your fat quarters BEFORE class day! This is a beginning quilt but you will want to have taken the beginning rotary cutting class and 1/4" seam class before you start your quilting journey! You can choose to do a baby or lap size quilt in this class. A Stripology XL ruler will make this class so easy!

No experience required! In this class for kids, we will start from the very beginning and learn all the basics of sewing with a machine. Kids will leave knowing how to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, and sew! An instructional packet including practice sheets will be provided so the fun can continue at home.

This class will focus on achieving the perfect scant quarter inch seam that is vital to beautiful and accurate quilting projects! Please bring the machine you most like to sew on! Get prepared to get some accurate on!!! Beyond 1/4" seams, we will find tips for flying geese and "sew and flip" triangles. Please make sure to see the class supply list! A Grid Glider is required for this class.

Once you have taken Stripology 101 you think you know all the Stripology ruler will do? Wrong! We've got more skills to show you! Join Janet for a fun class learning how to make that ruler investment really pay off! We will make bias binding, cut half hexies, learn about making our own precuts, learn how to make half square triangles, quarter square triangles, and more!

This is a fun, addicting, and creative project by Sue Spargo! Join Jan as you hand embroidery 1? wool circles on a 17.5? x 16? sampler. Stitch the circles exactly as Sue designed them in the pattern, use some of the designs Jan included on her sampler, OR design some of your own circles. You will totally be amazed what fits on a 1? circle and how easy these designs are to stitch! In class you will make the circle foundation, learn stitches used in Sue?s designs, how to marking designs on the circles, how to create your own designs, and be inspired to finish this project along side others sharing the joy with you! No UFO here! This project will be finished during class time! This sweet 6? x 8? Sewing Pocket is small enough to conveniently fit inside any bag, large enough for your needles, thread, scissors, and small project. Perfect for a take-along sewing project. Jan will offer three different designs to choose from for the front of your sewing project, or feel free to bring a 4.5? x 4.5? design of your own choosing. Class will include hand embroidery stitch instruction and construction of the pocket. This class will be available on site at Cinnamons Quilt Shop as well as via WebEx for our out-of-town customers.
