Did you know that placing a pineapple at your front door is a universal symbol of hospitality? Traditionally American sailors would hang a pineapple outside the door when they returned from the sea. South Carolina wives like to hang their pineapples from the front door when their husbands returned! Whether or not you are or have a sailor in your house, this beautiful quilt will definitely show your hospitality when you display it at home. You can make the whole quilt, 2/3s of the quilt and make it square or just make a few pineapples and whip up a beautiful table runner! Janet will have lots of tips and tricks and she will even bring some extra fabric already cut to make your pineapples more magical!
PLEASE NOTE: This is an INTERMEDIATE level class. You should be a very independent sewist to take this level class and have made many quilts before this class. There will be pre-class work and homework for multi-session classes. The class will move at a steady pace.
Beginning Rotary Cutting, 1/4" seam and more are required pre-requisites. Stripology 101 will also help your cutting go much faster!
