Do you own an embroidery machine but haven't really used it? Join us the second Tuesday of each month for an afternoon of stitching and networking.
Join in on all the fun at the monthly meeting of the American Sewing Guild here at Cinnamon's Quilt Shoppe. This neighborhood group is primarily focused on garment sewing, but all sewists are welcome to attend. The monthly meeting includes a brief calendar of upcoming events, a monthly program presented by a guild member, show & tell time, and social time. For more information, contact the neighborhood group leader, Jan Glover, at jangdesign@comcast.net.
So you want to make a quilt, but not sure where to start? We will use the book, Start Quilting by Alex Anderson and make the Rail Fence quilt. You will learn to cut fabrics with the rotary cutter and mat, sew a quarter-inch seam, and piece the fabrics together. You will then quilt the finished top with the batting and backing and bind the quilt so you have a completed quilt at the end of the 3 sessions.
