We have been busy, busy bees here at Cinnamon's this past week. So busy I forgot to send out a newsletter last week! Sorry about that. We had our class Preview Party last Thursday and I guess with all the preparation the news just slipped my mind. Now Karen and Faye are preparing for the weekend's retreat festivities that begin today at 3pm. We are excited to see everyone! If you've never experienced a retreat weekend before, I hope you will join us in the future.
As always, we have been moving fabrics around to freshen up the space and bring new fabrics in the shop. Newest arrival is from Art Gallery Fabrics called Lavish. It is a beautiful springy floral line that already has been quite popular in just a few days. We also received in a beautiful printed denim with large polka dots. Can't wait to see all that is made with these fabrics! You can take a look in our New Arrivals section on the website.
We have a new sample at the front entrance for a new line called Baby Sprinkles from Quilting Treasures. We have kits available if you are interested!
New to the Batik section are Be Colorful solids by Jacqueline deJonge. Such a beautiful rainbow of color! We've got a few Fat Quarter Bundles and her patterns hanging with the fabric.
New classes are all available on the website to view, along with the class handout PDF. Check out all the new classes through July here.
Faye has a Technique Tuesday on the calendar for April 26 on Piecing the Rose Star. She is also teaching Machine Quilting 101 and 102 this quarter. If you have taken her class previously and are ready to quilt your own, now's the time!
Michele is ready to stitch into the night with Night Stitchers on April 29th. There are many of you that attend so if you are interested, be sure to get your seat!
Featherweight Club meets the first Sunday of each month. Gloria Parsons heads up the group and has a few little projects planned for each meeting. Bring your featherweight and have a little sewing fun!
Jan Vaine will be adding two great classes this quarter. A is for Applique will be focusing on her newest Sisters' Garden pattern. She will also be teaching 3 mini quilts from Jo's Little Favorites book starting Friday, May 6th.
Just a friendly reminder to sign up at least a week in advance of class. We want to be able to give at least 5 days notice for teachers and students to plan accordingly. If you register and the class does not make, we will provide a full refund.
Til next time, keep those needles moving!
